This necrology blog offers space to leave comments, anecdotes, and other loving remembrances of CAMWS members who have died. The list is arranged in reverse chronological order with the most recently deceased at the beginning. We are grateful to Ward Briggs, CAMWS Historian, for composing the eulogies that are posted here and to everyone else who contributes to the blog. Henry A. Strater (2004)
Dr. Henry A. Strater, longtime teacher of Greek and Latin as well as being the Speech and Debate coach at Shaker Heights High School and at University School, passed in March.
Dr. Strater was an inspiration to me and I try to treat my students with the same respect he gave us in High school.
